The arm extends a light counterweight out in front of your mouse. That small forward mass acts on a lever, which increases rotational inertia while leaving lateral inertia almost untouched. Move the weight toward the tip for maximum effect, slide it inward for less resistance, or remove it entirely for the most subtle setting.

• Press pads onto the front faces of your mouse shell
• Wait 60 seconds for the adhesive to set
• Clip the stabilizer arm into the pads — done

The pads stay on your mouse (~1 g added). The arm clicks on and off by hand anytime, no tools or re-gluing.
